Template
A template is a layout designed once and applied to many pieces of content, so every entry of a given kind looks the same without being built the same.
In plain English
A single post template says where the title goes, where the featured image sits, where the content lands and what comes after it. Every post is then poured into that shape.
In Elementor you build it visually and use dynamic tags for the parts that change, then set a condition saying which content it applies to.
Why it matters
It is the only way a site with a hundred entries stays consistent. One change to the template changes all hundred pages.
It also separates design from writing. Once the template exists, publishing is writing, and nobody has to rebuild a layout to add a post.
