Kit
A kit is a packaged set of templates and global settings you can import into a site in one go, so a new project starts already looking like something.
In plain English
Elementor calls it a Website Kit: pages, headers, footers, colours, fonts and settings exported as one zip. Import it into an empty site and you have a full site to edit rather than a blank page.
Confusingly, Elementor also uses kit for your site’s global settings on their own. That is the same idea at a smaller scale: the colours and typography every widget inherits.
Why it matters
If you build more than one site, a kit is how you stop starting from nothing. Your own spacing, your own buttons, your own header, ready in two minutes.
For a client site it is also a safety net. Export the kit when the build is signed off and you have a snapshot of the design you can restore or reuse.

Imported kits overwrite your globals
Importing site settings replaces the colours and fonts already set. On a site with existing pages, import the templates and leave the global settings unticked.
